I have the honor of being part of the wicked blogging team over at Magicore, where we all bring together our own input and good finds from the world of free music on the internet. As the Magicore tagline reads: Yo, wanna hear what the internet sounds like? Put your ear on this.
Today marks the two year anniversary for the blog, I’ve been blogging with them for about six months, and Bazooka Joe over at the ever incredible Solipsistic Nation gave all of us from Magicore the privilege of putting together a group mix to showcase a lot of the material we share on the Magicore blog along with other material we are somehow involved with or particularly enjoying – all of it free! Additionally, we were interviewed regarding the blog and various facets of our personal views and opinions and experience when it comes to music. It’s a pretty epic listening experience and very cool bit of insight with Team Magicore, a pretty cool treat when it comes to the world of music blogging.
The five of us from Magicore took 12 minutes of our day to put some tunes together and those sessions were then assembled to create a whole, the beast that is the Magicore Voltron Mega Mix. I played material exclusively from my Bludclot Recordings netlabel. The other guys delivered the goods with bits of their own material, bits of each others material, and a ton of other sick shit. It’s good.
